Cocoa Plantation Visit: Before leaving the jungle, visit a cocoa plantation to learn how the sacred cocoa bean is harvested and processed, followed by a scenic journey back to the Sacred Valley and return to Cusco.

Airport pickup in Cusco, where we will take you straight to your hotel in down town, city centre.
We will provide an optional City Tour in the afternoon - an introduction to the city's fascinating history.
An evening meal is prepared for you, a chance to meet the group and a proper introduction to your guide for the rest of the tour, Evert!

After breakfast, embark on a journey to Wanakauri, the legendary mountain where the Inca empire is said to have originated.
This site is on the outskirts of Cusco, only a 20 minute drive to the begining of the walk along a sacred Inca path. This slow one hour walk allows you to immerse yourself in the history and significance of this sacred site.
After you return to Cusco there will be a group dinner in the town centre.

Discover the pre-Inca city of Pikillacta and marvel at the monumental walls of Rumi Colca - A huge urban settlement from pre Inca times, with aqueducts and tall inca walls.
We then head into the Sacred Valley to a lovely boutique hotel close to Pisac. With a delicious group meal in the evening and time at the end for stories about Inca history and hot chocolate with Evert.

After breakfast we explore the enigmatic ruins of Pisac and uncover the untold stories of the Incas. Enjoy full buffet lunch in Urubamba before visiting Ollantaytambo, where you'll board a glass roof train through the Andes to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu.
A light dinner in the town will be provided before an early night.

A very early start to see the sun rise over Machu Picchu. Leaving by bus you travel for 20 minutes to spend the morning exploring this magnificent Inca citadel. With a private tour with Evert you experience the awe-inspiring wonder of Machu Picchu, one of the modern world's seven wonders. before returning to Aguas Calientes.
There is a special restaurant we use that overlooks the Urabumba river for a buffet lunch.
You have an afternoon to rest or a chance to look around the town and traditional markets. This is a brilliant place to buy keep sakes and presents

After breakfast we leave by train, a 20 minute journey around the mountain and then followed by bus toColca Mayo Hot Springs.
Indulge in a rest day at the therapeutic mineral springs of Santa Teresa, where you can unwind, read and spend time surrounded in beautiful mountains on the edge of the Cusco jungle.
Evert will take you to eat lunch near the hot springs. The hotel is only 10 minutes away. It is basic but very comfortable.

After breakfast, which is often freshly picked or grown nearby, we embark on an early morning excursion to Vilcabamba, the last stronghold of the Inca empire.
After we travel along a mountain pass further into the jungle to spend the night in Quillabamba, this will take aproximatly 4 hours journey. from start to finish.
We stay in an Eco lodge which has a small pool and is clean and comfortable. it is close to a small river and near to the main town Quillabamba.
In the evening we always order food to the hotel. We strongly recomend the chichen and chips, although basic, it is absolutly delicious!

Before you leave the Jungle, we will visit a Cocoa plantatian to see how this sacred cocoa bean is harvested and ground. Heading back over a spectacula mountain pass, back to the Sacred Valley where you will eat a late lunch before your return journey to Cusco.
Arrive back in Cusco late afternoon/ early evening.

We transfer you to the airport for your journey home, hopefully filled with memories of all the special Inca ruins that are not often seen by tourists, that has given you a deep insight to the Inca way of life and history.
