Tour Details

  • We will meet you at Cusco airport, and from there we leave for the Sacred Valley, to our boutique hotel near Pisac.

    The altitude is lower than Cusco, so this will help you with altitude sickness. The journey is an hour by mini bus.

    When we arrive you will have chance to freshen up before dinner. Here you will meet the group and tour guides.

  • After breakfast, there is a small meeting where we will hand you a map of Pisac, where we will drop you off and pick you up. Also meeting points during the day if you need a guide or have wondered away from the group.

    Then we head to Pisac to the Festival and Feast of the Virgin of Carmen, a cherished tradition that brings together the local community in joyful and colourful celebration.

    Throughout these three enchanting days, we witness traditional dances performed from traditional Inca routines, that tell their own story. The guide will explain each dance to you and what the story represents as well as meaning meaning within the community.

    In the evening there is spectacular fireworks display. The firworks dance to live music all in sync with each other.

    We return to our accommodations in Pisac with lots of stories to tell..

    Day 4 Only - Lares Hot Springs (optional)

    Additionally, for those seeking a change of pace from the festival excitement, we offer a day tour to Lares Hot Springs. This scenic journey takes us through the breathtaking Andean landscapes along a beautiful mountain pass to reach the soothing thermal springs of Lares.

    Here, amidst the tranquil surroundings, we soak in the healing waters while surrounded by panoramic vistas.

    Your guid Evert, was one of the pioneers who discovered the Inca trail from Lares to Machu Picchu. So Lares is close to his heart.

    A specially prepared traditional dish of the region will be served for lunch, providing a taste of authentic Andean cuisine. After a day of serenity and peace, we return to Pisac in time to join the evening festivities, ensuring a perfect balance of cultural immersion and relaxation during that day.

  • At this point let us explain the courses to you:-

    "Explore and Experience: Dive into our Taster Adventure"

    Immerse yourself in our intensive four-day courses tailored to your passion and expertise, perfecting and expanding your skills in your one chosen craft. For beginners to advanced skill set.

    Our taster experience offers a diverse array of textiles and crafts. Immerse yourself in small projects while learning traditional techniques that capture the authentic Peruvian aesthetic.

    You can choose one subject but we advise you to choose two at least. Then you have different experiences to reflect and learn from.

  • After breakfast we start our artistic, craft or cookery classes. You would which classes you would like to try and it will be organised for you and you will have your own agenda which classes you are doing and when. This is not set in stone, so if you wish to change during your holiday, you can.

    Explore ancient techniques of clay shaping and dyeing to create unique patterns inspired by Incan pottery.

    Or you could Instead, try the intricate art of silversmithing, discovering the alchemy of transforming raw materials into stunning wearable art. The course includes the creation of one small item, with the option to craft larger pieces at an additional cost.

  • Building upon yesterday's lessons, we channel our creativity into the crafting of our own unique ceramic masterpieces, infusing each piece with personal flair and cultural inspiration.

    In the afternoon, we turn our attention bach to silver jewelry-making, finishing off our master pieces.

    In the evening we will showcase all your amazing achievments, savoring the sense of accomplishment that comes from creating beauty with our own hands.

  • Today, we embark on a rhythmic journey into the heart of Andean culture with drum making classes. Guided by our skilled teacher, we learn the time-honored techniques of crafting traditional drums, from selecting the finest materials to intricately assembling each component with precision and care. With each beat of the drum, we feel a deeper connection to the ancient rhythms of the Andes. This will be at the hotel and you can all take your drums so to remember your holiday when they are finished.

  • Continuing our journey of music, we devote the day to perfecting our drum-making skills, refining our techniques and adding the finishing touches to our unique instruments. With expert guidance and unwavering determination, we transform raw materials into works of art that resonate with the soulful heartbeat of our drums.

  • Embarking on a culinary adventure, we journey to the picturesque town of Chinchero, renowned for its rich tapestry of weaving traditions and beautiful food.

    In the morning, we gather in a traditional kitchen to unlock the secrets of Peruvian cuisine, learning to prepare flavourful Andean dishes.

    After we eat what we make for lunch, we immerse ourselves in the intricate art of weaving, as skilled artisans guide us through the ancient techniques of spinning, dyeing, and weaving vibrant textiles.

    As the sun sets, we retreat to our accommodations in Chinchero.

  • Building upon yesterday's culinary adventures, we put our newfound skills to the test as we prepare an Andean feast using locally sourced ingredients and time-honored techniques. Savouring the rich flavors and textures of traditional Peruvian cuisine. After we eat our feast you have a chance to return to the loom, finishing your weaving so to take it away with you.

    As night falls, we gather around the table for dinner, and Evert will tell stories of the Inca kings, giving you some insite what to look for in the next couple of days.

  • Leaving after an early breakfast you travel by mini bus through the Sacred Valley towards Machu Picchu.

    Along the way, we pause to explore the ancient Maras salt mines, marveling at the surreal landscape of terraced salt ponds cascading down the mountainside. After a leisurely lunch in Urubamba, we board a panoramic glass roof train bound for Aguas Calientes at 4pm, soaking in the breathtaking vistas of the Sacred Valley as we traverse winding mountain passes and verdant valleys.

  • Awakening before dawn, we embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey to the legendary citadel of Machu Picchu, nestled on top the mist-shrouded peaks of the Andes.

    Boarding a scenic bus, we wind our way along the serpentine roads that cling to the mountainside for 20 minutes, ascending to the breathtaking summit where the ancient ruins await.

    As the first rays of sunlight illuminate the majestic stone temples and terraces, we are overcome with awe at the sheer magnificence of this iconic Inca citadel. With ample time to explore the sprawling complex, we wander amidst the ruins, tracing the footsteps of ancient civilizations and drinking in the mystical beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. We descend from the heights of Machu Picchu, returning to Aguas Calientes for a well-deserved lunch overlooking the rushing waters of the Urubamba River.

    Boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo, we journey bach through the Sacred Valley, before continuing on to the historic city of Cusco, where our journey began.

  • As our journey concludes, we extend our heartfelt farewells.

    We will take you to the airport or bus station, ensuring a seamless departure.
