Evert has often been called upon to examine bones, their placement and aproximate gender and age, before they are sent to museums. He has uncovered ancient trails, linking sacred sites and studying the agricultural practices that sustained Inca towns.

Evert later became the president of tour guides, aiming to impart his vast knowledge of Inca history to other guides and elevate their standards.

10 Day Tour

  • We will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel for a shower and rest.

    Later, your guide will start your tour with an evening meal and tickets to the Lima water park. Don't worry, you don't have to get wet, you walk around the park with fountains dancing to music and show where music and lasers interact with water. Quite impressive!

  • After breakfast visit the Archaeological and Anthropological Museum of Pueblo Libre, where we will see treasures from ancient civilisations.

    Then, onto the Larco Herrera Museum, known as the "Gold Museum," to see exquisite artifacts.

    In the late afternoon we get on a minibus and travel 3 hours to Paracas.

    Evening meal will be waiting for us on our arrival at the hotel.

  • A restful morning close to the beach.

    After an early lunch we visit the Julio Cesar Tello Museum, located within the Paracas National Reserve.

    Then to break the journey we visit the famous Ocucaje Vineyard.Pisco is the national Peruvian spirit which is drank often as a cocktail called Pisco Sours. A chance to buy some authentic Pisco straight from the Vineyard and ofcourse taste before you buy!

    We settle in for the night in the quaint town of Ica.

  • After breakfast we head to Nasca. Our first stop is the hauntingly beautiful Chauchilla Cemetery, an insight to ancient Nascan customs and beliefs.

    Then, prepare for a breathtaking aerial adventure as we fly across the iconic Nasca Lines, a birds eye view over the colossal figures etched into the earth below.

    As the day draws to a close, we finish in the tranquil surroundings of Chala.

  • After breakfast we travel to Camana - 2 hours by bus, to trace the footsteps of the Incas along the Pacific coast.

    Our journey takes us to an Inca Port, where ancient pathways once connected the coast to the majestic city of Cusco.

    Camana is famous for its shrimp, We will have lunch in a well known restaurant before we head to Arequipa which is a 4 hour drive.

  • After breakfast we visit the Andean Sancurary Museum and see Juanita, a 15th century Mummy who as a girl, walked the Andes and sacrificed at the top of a mountain.

    In the afternoon we fly to Cusco, so to miss out on hours of driving, this will be an hours flight and will arrive in time for dinneri the centre of down town Cusco.

  • A day to rest.

    We will all get together and there is the option of a city tour. The tour will be bespoke to the group and will end with dinner all together back in the heart of Cusco.

    The day will be very easy, allowing rest so you are ready for the next stage of the tour.

  • In the historic city of Cusco, our quest for knowledge continues as we unravel the secrets of Pikillacta, the sprawling pre-Inca metropolis.

    Join us as we become part of history, witnessing ongoing excavations and immersing ourselves in the ancient wonders of Tipon.

    With each discovery, we deepen our understanding of Peru's rich cultural tapestry, finding solace in the timeless landscapes of the Andes. Travel back to Cusco in the evening.

  • Visit to the esteemed Inka Museum of Cusco. This museum offers a glimpse into Peru's illustrious past, showcasing artifacts that illuminate the country's rich cultural heritage.

    In thafernoon you have time to rest or explore Cusco. Evert will take you on a city tour around well known Inca sites, telling you stories and facts about how and why they exist.

  • Venture into the heart of the Sacred Valley to discover ancient Inca ruins, bustling markets, and breathtaking scenery. Board the train to Aguas Calientes, your gateway to the legendary citadel of Machu Picchu.

  • Prepare to be enchanted as you explore the awe-inspiring ruins of Machu Picchu, a testament to the ingenuity and artistry of the ancient Inca civilization. Wander through stone terraces, labyrinthine pathways, and sacred temples, and soak in the mystical ambiance of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

    Have the afternoon to discover the town, rest and recharge after a very early start.

  • Heading back to Cusco, you take a longer route back, visiting Pisac's ancient ruins and the salt mines at Maras Moray, gaining insight into traditional salt mining that predates the Inca civilization.

  • We say goodbye to Peru's beautiful landscapes. Driving you to the airport, we hope we leave you with memories that captured the spirit of this land.
